Everything you need to know about working with Rogue Wolves K9 — from training timelines to what life with a protection dog actually looks like.

General

We're based in East Yorkshire, UK. We work with clients nationally and can arrange consultations and dog delivery throughout the United Kingdom.

Get in touch via our contact page or email us directly at info@roguewolvesk9.co.uk. We'll arrange an initial consultation to understand your needs and find the right solution for you.

Yes. We deliver dogs and run consultations across the UK. Travel costs may apply depending on your location — contact us to discuss specifics.

Pet Training

Puppies can begin structured training from around 8 weeks old. Early socialisation and foundation work at this stage sets the tone for everything that follows.

Adult dogs of any age are also welcome — we assess each dog individually and design a programme around where they are, not where they should be.

We use a balanced, results-focused approach rooted in a genuine understanding of canine behaviour. We don't believe in one-size-fits-all methods — the right technique depends on the dog, the owner, and the goal.

Residential programmes run for a minimum of 3 weeks depending on the dog's starting point and the goals of the programme. We'll agree a realistic timeline during your initial consultation.

Yes — particularly at the end of a residential stay. We run thorough handover sessions so you understand exactly how to maintain and build on what your dog has learned. Without owner consistency, even the best training fades.

Protection Dogs

Yes. All of our protection dogs are trained to be stable, switched-off family companions in everyday life. The ability to protect is activated on command or in the presence of a genuine threat — not by default.

Every dog we place passes rigorous temperament and stability assessments before we consider them suitable for placement.

A guard dog is typically untrained, territorial, and reactive — unsuitable for family life and a liability in most environments. A trained protection dog is a calm, controllable companion with the capability and training to act decisively when genuinely needed. Handler control is everything.

We primarily work with Belgian Malinois and working-line German Shepherds — breeds selected for their drive, trainability, and temperament. Every dog we place is individually assessed and matched to the right handler and lifestyle.

Availability varies. High-quality protection dogs take significant time to source, test, and train to the standard we require. We recommend getting in touch early so we can add you to our list and keep you updated as suitable dogs become available.

Yes. We don't consider our job done at handover. We provide post-placement support to ensure you and your dog are confident together, and we remain available for questions and follow-up sessions as needed.

Pricing

Prices vary significantly depending on the dog's level of training, breed, age, and pedigree. Contact us for an honest conversation about what's available at different price points — we'd rather be transparent than give you a number without context.

All dogs come fully vaccinated, microchipped, and with a thorough handover. We also include a post-placement support period and can advise on ongoing maintenance training as your dog settles into your home.

Still have a question? We're always happy to talk through specifics. No obligation.
